The Lady Blazers hosted the Red Devils from East Jordan in a Tuesday night match up in Kalkaska. The game started with the celebration of Kalkaska’s seniors, seven of them who were honored, with their families as part of the game night festivities.

But the varsity squad from East Jordan came prepared to play spoiler on this special night. They beat Kalkaska in three competitive games, 26-28, 22-25, 24-26, avenging what Kalkaska did to them Saturday in a tournament up north, when the Blazers defeated the Red Devils four games to none.

If these two teams meet up again in the Lake Michigan conference tournament, it is certain to be another epic match.

From the seniors tonight: Kenzie Kniss served 100% to go with 19 assists, Jordyn Disbrow had 10 kills, Lauren DeVol had 3 aces, Alli DeVol led the team with 19 digs, Alina Membrillo added an ace and 9 assists, and Payton McKenzie and Ongell Stevens each added a kill, and Payton a block to the senior effort.

The Blazers have a week before their next game, when all three high school teams will play host to the Boyne City Ramblers.
