After coming off a successful week that included a three game sweep of Boyne City, and 1-1 split at a tri, all hosted at home, the Lady Blazers hit the road for a conference match up against Traverse City St. Francis.

Unlike the success they experienced at home last week, the Blazers struggled to get any momentum going against a strong Gladiator lineup. And while the Blazers did not play their usual strong game, they still had moments of brilliance and as always, showed a scrappy grit that never let them give up.

Kalkaska was swept in three games, (17-25, 8-25, 18-25) and sent home to prepare for a quad event at Benzie high school on Thursday. There, the Lady Blazers will face the Huskies of Benzie Central, the Sabres of Traverse City Christian, and the Stags of Kingsley high school as they work to reestablish their form and play the solid volleyball we’ve seen from them all year.
