It was Senior Night in Kalkaska for the Lady Blazers. Hannah Rhoades, Jacquelyn Scott, and Baylee West were honored before the game and then followed it up with great play on the court. Although the Blazers came up short (16-25, 14-25, 17-25), there were many exciting saves, long rallies, and big hits in the match against the nearly undefeated Lady Elks from Elk Rapids.

Some highlights from the night include 96% serving as a team! Payton McKenzie had one of her strongest games of the season, leading the Blazers with 6 kills along with 100% serving. Violet Porter picked up 5 kills in the middle while Jordyn Disbrow ended with 4 power shots from the outside.

On the defensive end, the whole team hustled, communicated, cheered, and saved the ball numerous times throughout out the match. Defense was led by libero Alli DeVol who read, moved, and dug the ball in extraordinary ways.

Next up for the Blazers is the Lake Michigan Conference tournament on Saturday in Kalkaska. The Blazers finished sixth in conference play this season and therefore will play their first game of the tournament around 11:00 am against the St Francis Gladiators.
