Boys/Girls Varsity Track @ Lake Michigan Conference Championship

The track and field teams competed at the last Lake Michigan Conference Championship meet in East Jordan last night. Charlevoix won the boy's meet, and Traverse City St. Francis won the girl's meet. The Kalkaska boys finished 5th and the girls finished 6th of 8 teams. 

Gavin Guggemos earned All Conference First Team, and he will be the last Lake Michigan Conference Champion in the 1600, and in the 800, where he set a PR and broke two minutes. 

Second place finishes and All Conference Second Team Awards were earned by

Coltrane Paryani, Camden Moore, Adam Williams, and Gavin Guggemos in the 4x800 relay

Myah Little in the 400 and the high jump

third place finishes and All Conference Honorable Mention Awards went to

JaeAnn Davis in the pole vault

Ally Sutton in the high jump

and Gabe Buyze-Prieto in the 300 hurdles

Additional PRs were set by:

Jonah Babbitt in the 400

Hunter Marvin tied his PR in the 100, Milena Milani and Giorgia Battaglia in the 100 (which is very difficult to do)

Kayden Dueweke-Gonzales, Jackson Shetler, Jackson Arnold, and EllaKay Begg in the 200

Kara Olds and Angela Rodriguez in the 800

Camden Moore in the 800 and 1600

Abby Minion in the 1600

Carley Griffith in the Discus

Cece Elya in the shot put

and Kylie Robinson in the long jump
